My Background

Jalyn Robinson was born in Clayton County, Georgia and raised in a Caribbean household where culture, music, and creativity were deeply embedded in everyday life. Growing up around entrepreneurial parents and creative expression shaped her early understanding of both artistry and business—an influence that continues to guide her work in the music industry today.

She is a proud graduate of Clark Atlanta University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, equipping her with a strong foundation in strategy, operations, and organizational leadership. That academic grounding, paired with a lifelong passion for music, positioned Jalyn to enter the industry with both creative sensitivity and business discipline.

Jalyn’s upbringing and education uniquely prepared her to navigate the multifaceted nature of the music business—where culture, creativity, and commerce intersect. Driven, intuitive, and detail-oriented, she has built her career by supporting artists and executives with intention and integrity, while steadily carving a path toward leadership.

With a deep commitment to advocacy and innovation, Jalyn’s long-term vision is rooted in amplifying diverse voices and creating sustainable opportunities for artists. Her work is guided by a belief that when structure and creativity coexist, meaningful impact follows.

Who I Am

Jalyn is a detail-driven, highly communicative professional known for bringing clarity and momentum to complex environments. She thrives under pressure, manages multiple priorities with ease, and translates direction into execution quickly and effectively. With a natural ability to connect across personalities and roles, she builds trust, fosters collaboration, and leaves a lasting impression in every room she enters.

A self-starter by nature, Jalyn operates seamlessly both independently and within team settings. Her adaptability, initiative, and calm approach in high-stakes situations make her an invaluable contributor across creative and operational spaces.

Rooted in a family legacy of music and culture, Jalyn’s passion for the industry runs deep. She draws inspiration from her grandfather, Brian Rock, a founding member of the reggae band Moja Nya and current leader of Gizzae; her uncle Junie, a veteran DJ with over two decades of live performance experience; and her uncle, Isaiah “Zay” Rock, a seasoned music producer. Influenced by industry leaders such as Amber Grimes and Nicole Wyskoarko, Jalyn’s path is shaped by both creative heritage and executive vision—driving her commitment to building, supporting, and advancing artists and the teams around them.

What I Do

Jalyn operates at the intersection of people, process, and creativity—bringing structure to vision and clarity to execution. While her foundation was built as Executive Assistant to Lecrae and Boyd “Flex” Bowman, her capabilities have always extended beyond the traditional scope of the role. Today, that range is reflected in her work as the sole A&R & Operations Coordinator supporting both Motown Gospel and TAMLA under Capitol Christian Music Group (Universal Music Group).

With a rare ability to intuitively understand people while managing complex systems, Jalyn serves as a central connector between artists, executives, and cross-functional teams. She supports senior leadership, manages artist and executive logistics, oversees travel and invoicing across both labels, and ensures that the operational infrastructure behind each project is executed with precision and care.

What sets Jalyn apart is her ability to read between the lines—recognizing unspoken needs, anticipating challenges, and creating environments where artists and teams can operate at their highest level. Her empathy is matched by her attention to detail, allowing her to navigate creative spaces not just as a facilitator, but as a stabilizing force who brings order, trust, and momentum.

Whether supporting the development of an artist, the execution of a release, or the day-to-day operations of a label, Jalyn’s presence elevates the experience. She fosters alignment, nurtures growth, and helps transform ideas into impactful outcomes—leaving a lasting imprint on the artists, teams, and spaces she supports.

Overall Vision

Jalyn’s vision is rooted in reshaping how creatives are supported, protected, and empowered within the music industry. While the business continues to generate record-breaking revenue, the artists and professionals responsible for that success are often left without the structure, compensation, or resources needed to sustain long-term careers. Jalyn sees this gap clearly—and is committed to closing it.

Through advocacy, strategic thinking, and operational excellence, she aims to bring balance back to the creative ecosystem by helping artists, songwriters, producers, and engineers operate with clarity, leverage, and ownership.

Her focus is not simply on independence, but on informed independence—where creatives understand the business, maintain control over their work, and are supported by systems that allow them to thrive.

Jalyn envisions a future where creativity is met with structure, talent is met with opportunity, and music professionals are empowered to build sustainable careers without exploitation. Her work is driven by the belief that when creatives are properly supported, the industry doesn’t just grow—it evolves.
